We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Gas+.

Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, ordering merchandise, and authorizing returns. The successful candidate will also be responsible for establishing work schedules, selling merchandise, preparing reports, and resolving customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff and assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  • Order merchandise and authorize returns
  • Establish work schedules and manage cash
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
