At CAAT Pension Plan, we are dedicated to delivering secure and sustainable retirement solutions for Canadians. As a Senior Associate in our Actuarial Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tools and processes for accurate benefit valuation and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Actuarial Services & Quality Assurance to provide technical support on complex benefit calculations.
  • Engage with various Actuarial teams to analyze trends, project plans, and contribute to special projects.
  • Provide compliance recommendations and analyze new plan provisions to enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in actuarial science, statistics, or mathematics, or a relevant college diploma with equivalent experience.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in the actuarial sector, particularly within pension or insurance domains.
  • Proficiency in defined benefit pension plan designs and familiarity with actuarial standards and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with valuation and projection software, such as ProVal, is advantageous.

  • Strong project management, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex mathematical concepts effectively.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in a team-oriented environment.

As a Senior Associate, you will also be responsible for:

  • Conducting demographic analyses, experience studies, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Leading the development of administrative tools for off-system calculations and training team members.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve intricate pension-related issues.
