Clinical Nursing Leader

The Nursing Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within our organization. This position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a professional role model and mentor, demonstrating clinical expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Assess and determine optimal staffing levels to meet referral acceptance metrics as outlined by funding agencies.
- Lead clinical nursing initiatives, ensuring that patient care aligns with established professional nursing standards and organizational policies.
- Conduct supervisory visits to evaluate care delivery, offering constructive feedback and coaching to nursing personnel.
- Participate in the recruitment and orientation processes for new nursing staff.
- Oversee performance management for nursing staff, including conducting performance evaluations and implementing progressive discipline when necessary.
- Review cases to ensure appropriate care frequency and nursing capacity are maintained.
- Engage with patients and nursing teams collaboratively, building trust and understanding to identify healthcare needs and goals.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a degree preferred.
- Possession of a valid G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in a Nursing Supervisor or Manager role, ideally within a community healthcare setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of community nursing principles, practices, and patient service delivery.
- Current CPR certification is required.
