About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Spice 8 Srilankan Fusion Cuisine. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Managing Supplies: Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items, ensuring we maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Labor Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate labor costs to ensure we stay within budget.
  • Chef Supervision: Supervise and mentor our cooks, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan menus that meet our quality standards and cater to our customers' preferences.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring we deliver exceptional service and cuisine.
  • Work Term and Language: This is a permanent position, and we require the ability to communicate in English.
  • Work Hours: The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is necessary.
