Position Overview

As an On-Site Trading Analyst at National Bank, you will engage in resolving intricate financial challenges utilizing advanced technology. Our team is designed to ensure that each member can comprehensively manage the trading algorithm development lifecycle, from grasping trading intentions to monitoring trading performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and identify the root causes of complex trading behaviors within algorithmic strategies.
  • Contribute to the design and specification of innovative trading strategy features.
  • Implement development processes effectively to minimize risks.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork while demonstrating the ability to work autonomously.

Team Dynamics

You will collaborate with a geographically dispersed team in the Electronic Trading sector, reporting directly to the Managing Director of ETF & Electronic Trading. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the future of our rapidly evolving algorithmic trading platform.

Qualifications

  • Completed educational background in STEM fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or HDL.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and French.
  • Ability to thrive in environments with frequent context switching.
  • Experience with low-latency and real-time systems is advantageous.
  • Interest in market microstructure dynamics is beneficial.
  • Understanding of technology's operational aspects and their performance implications is a plus.
