About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze Patient Data

Conduct thorough analyses of patient data to identify potential health issues and develop effective treatment plans.

Operate Ultrasound Equipment

Operate advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Prepare Examination Reports

Prepare detailed examination reports for physicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements
  • Education

A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Medical Imaging or Diagnostic Sonography.

Experience

Experience in a related field is an asset, but not required.

Certifications

Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and certification by a provincial or territorial association.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 37.5 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a hospital or medical facility setting.
