Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at IWK Health. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Services: Operate and maintain various types of medical imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Patient Care: Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record and process patient data, including medical history, test results, and imaging protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Education: Completion of a medical radiologic technology program or equivalent.
- Certification: Certification by a provincial or territorial association is an asset.
- Experience: Previous experience in a radiology department or medical imaging setting is an asset.
