About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Sonographer to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze Patient Data

Conduct thorough analyses of patient data to identify potential health issues and develop effective treatment plans.

Operate Ultrasound Equipment

Operate advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to produce high-quality images and records for diagnostic purposes.

Prepare Examination Reports

Prepare detailed examination reports for physicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements
  • Education

A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Medical Imaging or Diagnostic Sonography.

Experience

Experience in a related field is an asset, but not required.

Certifications

Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and certification by a provincial or territorial association.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 37.5 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a hospital or medical facility setting and may be required to relocate for this position.
