Nursing Practice and Clinical Supports

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Consultant to join our team at IWK Health. As a key member of our Nursing Practice and Clinical Supports team, you will play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of policies that support our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams through the policy process with expert knowledge of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a robust policy culture that aligns with IWK Health's strategic direction and initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to specific programs, teams, and/or healthcare providers on policy process in collaboration with policy team members.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare field required.
  • Master's degree an asset.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with a professional body where applicable.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in policy drafting in policies or procedures in an organization of significant size and/or complexity.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to inform policy development, organizational planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience engaging, leading, and managing project work groups required.
