We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Consultant to join our team at IWK Health. As a key member of our Nursing Practice and Clinical Supports team, you will play a critical role in leading teams through the policy process, ensuring alignment with our strategic direction and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of a robust policy culture, ensuring policies support our mission, vision, and values.
- Utilize change management strategies to lead projects and initiatives within the policy office portfolio.
- Build capacity in IWK Health for policy development practices by establishing and maintaining high standards of practice and demonstrating leadership.
- Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare field required.
- Master's degree an asset.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with a professional body where applicable.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in policy drafting in policies or procedures in an organization of significant size and/or complexity.
- Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to inform policy development, organizational planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience engaging, leading, and managing project work groups required.
