We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Consultant to join our team at IWK Health. As a key member of our Nursing Practice and Clinical Supports team, you will play a critical role in leading teams through the policy process, ensuring alignment with our strategic direction and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust policy culture, ensuring policies support our mission, vision, and values.
  • Utilize change management strategies to lead projects and initiatives within the policy office portfolio.
  • Build capacity in IWK Health for policy development practices by establishing and maintaining high standards of practice and demonstrating leadership.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare field required.
  • Master's degree an asset.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with a professional body where applicable.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in policy drafting in policies or procedures in an organization of significant size and/or complexity.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to inform policy development, organizational planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience engaging, leading, and managing project work groups required.
