About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Analyst to join our team at the Government of Nova Scotia. As a key member of our department, you will provide expertise and advisory services to staff on research and policy development, as well as work with senior staff on major policy, research, and procedural matters.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead division functions, including research and policy development
  • Develop and evaluate policy options and related background material
  • Prepare reports, briefing books, and responses on health system issues in Nova Scotia
  • Lead and/or participate in working groups on specific policy issues
  • Coordinate stakeholder consultations and public meetings
  • Prepare briefing notes and correspondence for senior staff on various matters
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in a health-related field and six years of progressive experience in a related field, with a strong background in policy development and analysis.

You will also have excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
