Position Overview:
The Cost Analysis Specialist at SinaLite plays a crucial role in managing the daily functions of the Finance department, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of costing models, ensuring the precision of cost distribution.
  • Examine cost discrepancies related to materials, labor, machinery, and overhead, identifying opportunities for cost savings and performance enhancement.
  • Oversee and audit general ledger inventory accounts to guarantee the accuracy of inventory valuations.
  • Establish protocols for inventory valuation and provide strategic insights into inventory management and turnover rates.
  • Refine the costing model to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen cost management practices.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools, such as DOMO or Power BI, to generate reports that support cost analysis by product category.
  • Propose modifications to policies and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the cost accounting function.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to implement controls aimed at minimizing production and operational expenses.
  • Support the annual budgeting process for variable and fixed costs, as well as departmental expenditures.
  • Conduct daily and month-end accounting tasks, including journal entry postings, account reconciliations, and various financial analyses.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and contribute to the efficiency of the year-end audit process.
  • Assist in the establishment of internal controls to protect company assets, deter fraud, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance, with an accounting designation or progress towards one.
  • Significant experience in data management, including evaluating data quality, organizing data, and deriving insights from data analysis.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence software, particularly Power BI, is advantageous.
  • Proficient in a fully digital environment, with advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in pricing and cost analysis is beneficial.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
