Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapeutic services to clients referred through various channels, addressing psychosocial challenges stemming from injury, trauma, and mental health conditions. Employ a goal-oriented, therapeutic methodology to alleviate distress and enhance social and occupational functioning. Engage in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate clients' treatment plans, progress, and any obstacles encountered. Ensure high-quality reporting and maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.Licensing Requirements:
Must be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as a Licensed Counselling Therapist. A minimum of a Master's Degree in a counselling-related discipline such as Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work is required.Professional Experience:
Proven experience in case conceptualization and treatment of various mental health symptoms in adult clients. Strong clinical knowledge in areas such as grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment challenges. Familiarity with the psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome is advantageous. Training and experience in cognitive behavioural therapy techniques (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT) are preferred. Experience collaborating within a multi/interdisciplinary team setting. Proficient in preparing assessment, progress, and discharge documentation. Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and integrity are essential.Build a Meaningful Career
