Job Summary:

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Counselling Therapist, you will provide high-quality counselling services to clients with a range of mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling services to clients with mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and discharge planning to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as a Registered Counselling Therapist.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in a team-based environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cognitive-behavioural therapy approaches and experience working with diverse client populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
