Job Overview

AECOM Buildings + Places, a leading architectural division, is on the lookout for a Marine Structural Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on critical marine infrastructure projects, including jetties, wharfs, and piers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Offer specialized technical insights for the structural analysis and design of marine infrastructure.
  2. Act as a senior technical resource, providing guidance and expertise to the project team.
  3. Establish study and design protocols to ensure efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
  4. Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to maintain quality standards.
  5. Prepare construction cost estimates and assess technical efforts for various projects.
  6. Utilize expertise throughout the entire process of completing discipline components of project specifications and estimates.
  7. Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings to ensure accuracy.
  8. Draft technical specification sections that align with project requirements.
  9. Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project timelines.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

  1. A University Degree in Structural Engineering along with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the structural design of marine facilities.
  2. Consideration may be given for equivalent experience and/or education.
  3. Possession of an Engineering designation (P.Eng) is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pile foundations and concrete decks, as well as familiarity with saltwater construction practices.
