Marine Structural Engineer

AECOM Buildings + Places, a leading architectural division, is on the lookout for a Marine Structural Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on critical marine infrastructure projects, including jetties, wharfs, and piers.
Key Responsibilities:- Offer specialized technical insights for the structural analysis and design of marine infrastructure.
- Act as a senior technical resource, providing guidance and expertise to the project team.
- Establish study and design protocols to ensure efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
- Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare construction cost estimates and assess technical efforts for various projects.
- Utilize expertise throughout the entire process of completing discipline components of project specifications and estimates.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Draft technical specification sections that align with project requirements.
- Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project timelines.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:
- A University Degree in Structural Engineering along with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the structural design of marine facilities.
- Consideration may be given for equivalent experience and/or education.
- Possession of an Engineering designation (P.Eng) is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pile foundations and concrete decks, as well as familiarity with saltwater construction practices.
