Dietary Assistant

Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our Food Services team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, effective interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional care to our Residents.
Summary of Function
- Perform a variety of duties within a food service operation including food preparation, serving, and cleaning tasks.
- Ensure a safe, clean working environment is maintained.
- Adhere to Golden Links Lodge values, philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 10 required.
- Food Handlers training certificate Level 1 or equivalent required.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role.
Standards of Performance/Duties
Food Services
- Accurately portion out food and beverages according to the menu.
- Assist in meal preparation and execution of special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within dining areas.
Nutrition Services
- Serve Residents with courtesy and friendliness.
- Ensure that residents receive the correct diets according to their menu preferences and dietary requirements.
- Report any concerns regarding Residents to your Supervisor.
Sanitation and Safety
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and equipment.
- Operate dietary equipment safely.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
Administration
- Support the mission, philosophy, and policies of Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Assist with inventory counting.
Personal/Professional Criteria
- Conduct yourself in a responsible and professional manner.
- Participate in training programs and assist with the orientation of new staff members.
Quality Program
- Contribute to the Quality Program and strive to improve food service standards.
- Complete monitoring audits as required.
Other Duties
- Perform assigned clerical duties as needed.
- Complete time sheets accurately.
- Assist with any other related duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
