Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. is seeking a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of relevant expertise to become a part of our dynamic Power and Transportation team.

We are in search of a proactive, organized, and responsible individual who excels in articulating technical subjects, both verbally and in writing, and is committed to delivering exceptional engineering solutions.

  • Engage in a variety of stimulating projects, including the design of hydraulic structures, hydrology, flow modeling, drainage management, flood mitigation, energy studies, and dam safety evaluations;
  • Lead and manage interdisciplinary teams across diverse projects for various clients;
  • Collaborate with other engineering specialties within project teams;
  • Conduct site assessments and oversee projects during construction;
  • Utilize your expertise on challenging hydrotechnical and civil engineering assignments;
  • Travel within Canada and occasionally internationally.

As a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer, you will possess a solid understanding of hydrotechnical engineering principles and their interaction with other engineering fields. We value your:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Proven track record in project management and successful project delivery;
  • Experience in engineering practice, familiarity with modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Flow-3D, and proficiency in civil/hydrotechnical calculations and the MS Office suite;
  • Critical thinking skills for solving engineering challenges and a capacity for innovation;
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Interest in mentoring and developing junior and intermediate engineers;
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations as necessary.

Essential qualifications for this role include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in hydrotechnical or civil engineering;
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience;
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia, or the ability to obtain registration (existing registration as a P.E. in any U.S. state is advantageous).
