Dean of Social Science and Business Technologies

Dawson College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Dean of Social Science and Business Technologies. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong vision for academic excellence and a proven track record of motivating and managing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for the Social Science and Business Technologies sector, ensuring academic excellence and alignment with the college's strategic vision.
- Manage programs, departments, learning activities, budgets, and personnel within the sector, with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance student success, faculty development, and community engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
- Lead and manage a team of academic administrators, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure the success of the sector.
- Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and a minimum of six years of relevant experience, preferably including at least three years in a post-secondary teaching or leadership role.
- Proven track record of academic leadership, with experience in motivating and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make informed decisions.
- Ability to manage a significant budget and work with complex financial systems.
- Excellent English language skills (oral and written), with very good French language skills (oral and written).
