Industrial Maintenance Technician

Gemtron Canada Corporation is seeking a proficient Industrial Maintenance Technician to enhance our operational team. The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma and have between 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the maintenance sector. In this role, you will undertake a range of responsibilities including the installation, upkeep, servicing, and repair of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and guide apprentices in their development
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues and malfunctions
  • Construct bases for machinery installations
  • Replace or repair faulty components of machinery
  • Manufacture parts necessary for maintenance, overhaul, or setup
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machinery
  • Utilize machining tools for part fabrication
  • Program and manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Install machinery and associated equipment
  • Operate lifting and hoisting apparatus
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with specialists for major repairs

Requirements:

  • Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Red Seal Endorsement for Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Experience ranging from 2 to 3 years in the field
