Apprentice Electrician

Job Summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Electrician to join our team. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be responsible for developing knowledge in the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of CNC milling machines, CNC multi-axis lathes, and other specialized equipment.
• Develop knowledge of PLC and motor control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn and apply electrical theory, wiring, and installation methods.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to achieve a 442A certification of qualification.

Requirements

• OSSD or equivalent required.
• College diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent preferred.
• Exposure to technical drawing packages.
• Developing knowledge of PLC and motor control systems.
• Must have good eye and finger dexterity.
• Knowledge of electric and electronic controls preferred.
• Basic understanding of electronics at circuit board level preferred.
• Ongoing development of electrical theory, wiring, installation methods, and instrumentation knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of distribution equipment, electronics, electrical equipment, protective devices, and high voltage systems an asset.

• Must be able to work various shifts as deemed necessary.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Knowledge of computer software, MS Word, and Excel.
• Strong well-rounded math skills.
