Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Tom Smith Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair problems with truck and automotive systems, including engine, electrical, and transmission systems.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to ensure vehicles are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inspect and Test Vehicles: Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and test repaired systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Communicate with Customers: Provide clear and concise explanations of repairs and maintenance to customers, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the work performed.
  • Work with Supervisors: Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and ensure high-quality work is completed.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in the automotive repair industry
  • Language: English
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
  • Physical Demands: Hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to lift heavy objects
