MatrixHR is seeking a driven Business Development & Sales Manager to join our client's team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will focus on driving business growth within a defined territory in the eastern provinces (Montreal or Ontario area). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and possess a proven track record of success in sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic sales growth plans aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Create and execute effective sales strategies tailored to specific customer segments within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and manage marketing initiatives to promote products and services within the local market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through regular visits and communication.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, exceeding established targets.
  • Conduct thorough competitor analysis to understand market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with product managers and international sales teams to ensure product offerings meet the needs of specific territories.
  • Identify potential risks associated with sales opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate marketing activities specifically focused on sales in Canada.
  • Utilize CRM systems effectively to manage customer interactions, track sales progress, and achieve targets.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with 10-15 years of proven sales experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to adapt approach based on client needs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of technical concepts, ideally with a background in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
