Fundraising Development Specialist
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraising Development Specialist provides both administrative and strategic assistance to TechBridge's fundraising and development initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass research, data analysis, and administrative support to enable the team to meet its annual and quarterly financial objectives. This role involves managing sponsorship relations, communications, sponsor database oversight, and grant administration for the Fundraising & Development team. The focus is on sustaining and enhancing existing revenue streams and nurturing relationships.
This position requires handling sensitive information and may involve interactions with executives and high-net-worth individuals, necessitating a high degree of professionalism and discretion. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage, collaborate, and communicate with donors, sponsors, and colleagues across various levels of the organization and with external partners, all while maintaining composure and tact.
Equally vital are the skills in data management, technology, marketing, and communication. As a technology-driven nonprofit, TechBridge leverages digital solutions to combat poverty. Therefore, the Fundraising Development Specialist should have a robust understanding of data management and analytics, along with the capability to utilize technology efficiently. The perfect candidate will excel in managing administrative responsibilities, coordinating projects, and ensuring effective communication. Familiarity with tools such as Trello, AI, and Salesforce is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all aspects of development activities in partnership with the Director of Fundraising and Development, including setting clear goals, tracking progress, and reporting to achieve fundraising targets.
- Manage processes for donor acknowledgment and recognition, including drafting, sending, and tracking acknowledgment letters to donors and foundations.
- Collaborate on the creation of digital and print materials, such as sponsor prospectuses, impact reports, and post-campaign case studies, ensuring consistent branding and messaging to foster sponsor engagement.
- Assist in developing communication strategies and materials for various content types, including videos, testimonials, cases for support, campaigns, and newsletters.
- Maintain ongoing communication with all funding sources, including grantees, foundations, and organizations.
- Ensure that all contact information, company details, titles, and lists are accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize necessary systems to support a comprehensive development program, including Salesforce, SharePoint, and project management tools (e.g., Trello).
- Identify and coordinate recognition opportunities for existing and potential donors, sponsors, and corporations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Oversee all areas of Executive Ambassador engagement in collaboration with the CEO and the Director of Fundraising and Development, including setting clear goals and tracking progress.
- Facilitate recognition opportunities for existing and potential Executive Ambassadors, including meeting itineraries and follow-ups.
- Assist in producing digital and print materials, ensuring consistent branding and messaging that encourages Executive Ambassador involvement.
- Maintain accurate contact information and lists.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Manage all aspects of auction development in collaboration with the Director of Fundraising and Development, including setting clear goals and tracking progress to achieve event fundraising objectives.
- Support live and silent auction efforts, including item procurement, invoicing, and delivery.
- Utilize necessary systems to support effective auction and raffle initiatives, including platforms like Classy and Give Smart.
- Lead day-of auction and raffle activities, including setup and breakdown of items at events with volunteer assistance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in an office environment, particularly in sales, business development, marketing, fundraising, or corporate relations.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to leverage internal and external tools for prospect research.
- Experience in grant writing and formal proposal development.
- Exceptional organizational skills suited for a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate various platforms and technologies.
- Experience in utilizing social media for fundraising efforts.
- Capacity to synthesize and interpret data efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail, even under tight deadlines.
- Sound judgment and professional expertise in problem-solving.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Negotiation skills.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector.
- Master's Degree or 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
- Creative writing abilities.
This is a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time.
