The Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy (ISUP) at UTM is focused on enhancing students' academic capabilities and faculty teaching methodologies through innovative and inclusive educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing elements of educational programs.
  • Building and sustaining collaborative networks to enhance capacity.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to guide program development.
  • Assessing educational outcomes to inform program improvements.
  • Investigating curriculum trends and compiling reports for faculty.
  • Consulting with instructors on effective curriculum development and delivery.
  • Leading educational workshops and training sessions.
  • Acting as a resource for specialists on specific educational issues.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in education, disability studies, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of universal design for learning (UDL) principles.
  • Strong familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA) Act.
  • Comprehensive understanding of systemic accessibility challenges.
  • Experience in university-level teaching, program design, facilitation, and faculty development.
  • Engagement in research related to educational development or UDL.
  • Commitment to supporting instructors from diverse backgrounds.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Membership in a relevant professional organization.
  • Experience in post-secondary education teaching.
