Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

At Surplus Electrical Equipment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials, and maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on warehouse performance and productivity
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of computer equipment and machinery
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed in a timely manner
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed to support warehouse operations
  • Train workers in duties and policies to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support warehouse operations
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a warehouse or supply chain role
  • Permanent employment with a regular 40-hour workweek
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication
