We are seeking a highly skilled Program Director to join our Canada Data Office team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and implementing program management best practices, ensuring the successful delivery of our data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide program governance leadership and embed strong program management best practices across Canada Data Office.
- Define and maintain a Program Management Playbook, combining industry best practices and Manulife standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our delivery program strength, challenging the status quo to drive excellence.
- Support the Head of CDO in capacity and resource forecasting, budget management, and planning at the portfolio level.
- Develop and maintain regular portfolio reporting and dashboards for internal and external partners.
- Create reports and dashboards to visualize and communicate CDO delivery performance.
- Own selected programs within the portfolio and guide and manage other program managers and/or engage with value stream leads within CDO.
- 5+ years of hands-on program management experience in a large-sized organization.
- Experience with data technology solutions, including big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Excellent program and portfolio financial management skills.
- Hands-on experience with Agile processes and methodologies.
- Proven track record of building effective relationships and achieving desired outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with solid conflict management and resolution skills.
- High analytical ability to break down complex issues and solve problems.
- Self-directed and confident, with good judgment to know when to seek supervisor's help.
- A team-first approach, with a high degree of trust and a fast learner with strong resilience and resourcefulness.
