Job Description

The Opportunity

Manulife is seeking a seasoned program director to join our data organization and drive strategic initiatives that leverage trusted data to inform business decisions.

This role will be responsible for defining and implementing program management best practices, overseeing financial management and reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program governance leadership and embed strong program management best practices across the data organization.
  • Develop and maintain a program management playbook that combines industry best practices and Manulife standards.
  • Continuously evaluate program delivery strength and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the Head of Data Office in capacity and resource forecasting, budget management, and planning.
  • Develop and maintain regular portfolio reporting and dashboards for internal and external partners.
  • Own selected programs within the portfolio and guide and manage other program managers.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on program management experience in a large organization.
  • Experience with data technology solutions and big data technologies.
  • Excelling in program/program/portfolio financial management.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile processes.
  • Proven track record of building effective relationships and achieving desired outcomes.
