**Job Summary**

Jump Recruitment Specialists is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Clerk to join our team at a leading automotive dealership group in Canada.

**About the Company**

O'Neill Auto Group is a family-owned and operated business, and Canada's largest Nissan dealer group with multiple locations. The company is also Newfoundland and Labrador's largest luxury vehicle retailer.

**Job Responsibilities**

  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Conduct HST calculations and filing of returns, as well as making payments
  • Assist with the process of new and used vehicles, including financial audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and review of schedules
  • Assist in preparing year-end audit working papers
  • Perform other accounting functions and duties as needed

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in a senior accounting role
  • Automotive experience, especially familiarity with CDK or similar, would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated skill in strategic financial and operational management and long-term planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
