Interventional Radiology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As an Interventional Radiology Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in our Medical Imaging Department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identifying problems and developing care plans to address them.
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy and blood products, and titrate dosages to ensure therapeutic goals are met.
- Perform a variety of health care interventions, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, and assist with procedural sedation and general anesthesia.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing emotional support and education on specific procedures and post-procedure care.
- Participate in quality management initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized high acuity specialty nursing certificate and one year of recent related interventional medical imaging experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
