About the Role

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, removing litter and garbage, and performing various other tasks related to outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Collaborate with our team to build and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, and other landscaping features.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Ensure our outdoor spaces are clean and free of debris, contributing to a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
  • Apply Fertilizers and Other Substances: Safely apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other substances to maintain the health and appearance of our clients' outdoor spaces.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Write Daily Progress Reports: Document your daily activities and progress, providing valuable insights for our team and clients.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as mowing lawns and trimming bushes, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Physically Demanding: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Spend time sitting, standing, and walking while performing your duties, requiring good physical stamina.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling, such as pruning plants and repairing equipment.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position, offering stability and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role, requiring strong communication skills.
  • Hours: Work 40 hours per week, with regular breaks and time off as needed.
