About the Role

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, removing litter and garbage, and performing various tasks to maintain our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to maintain the health and appearance of plants and trees.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor machinery.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed of tasks completed and any issues encountered.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor machinery.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Use manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform tasks that require precision and attention to detail.
  • Work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent breaks to rest and recharge.
  • Bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks that require flexibility and mobility.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
