Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute data collection activities in the field, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection.
- Utilize GIS handheld units to collect and record data, adhering to approved guidelines and protocols.
- Work independently, with minimal supervision, to achieve data collection goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and high-quality data delivery.
- Travel to various locations, including remote areas, to collect data, as required.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as telecommunications, geography, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a telecommunications environment, preferably with GIS devices and mobile app software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface with other departments.
- Valid G driver's license with a clear driving history.
- Proficiency with MS-Office and the ability to learn new systems and software programs.
- Experience working with GIS devices, such as Trimble or IKE GPS units.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and outside plant engineering principles.
- 1-2 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor.
