Job Title: Physician Specialist
Job Summary:
Lifemark Health Group in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking a Physician Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Physician Specialist, you will be responsible for performing medical assessments, primarily employment medicals, independent medical assessments, and specialized medicals such as Seafarer's, Aviation, CAPP, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough assessments of presenting eligible health problems
- Perform medication review and identify drug therapy problems
- Clarify relevant medical issues, including comorbid conditions
- Clarify diagnosis and prognosis related to eligible health problems
- Identify conditions that may hinder progress in rehabilitation
- Identify relevant accommodations or medical restrictions
- Engage in targeted follow-up care through a consultative model
- Participate in de-brief discussions with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine and valid license to practice in respective field in province/territory as applicable
- Experience in managing complex medical conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
- Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment is an asset
