Job Title: Educational Technology Specialist

Join Northern Lights College as an Educational Technology Specialist and contribute to the institution's mission to provide high-quality education and training to students.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Technology Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising and consulting with faculty members, sessional instructors, and staff on the use of educational technologies in teaching and learning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support on the use of educational technologies, including learning management systems, web conferencing tools, and multimedia authoring applications.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with faculty members, sessional instructors, and staff.
  • Participate and contribute to various groups and teams through communities of practice and affiliation.
  • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders with prompt and accurate information about pedagogical and technological applications.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, or related field.
  • 2 years' experience in instructional design, educational technology support, or related field related to e-learning, preferably in an education setting.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and educational technologies.
  • Knowledge of instructional and course design.
  • Experience and expertise with a variety of multimedia authoring applications, Learning Management Systems, and education technology tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, or related field.
  • Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
