Senior Associate or Counsel Opportunity

HUM Law is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Counsel to join our team in Toronto.

This role requires a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in employment law, providing expert advice to employers and employees, and handling litigation and strategy development.

We value excellence, quality, and conscientiousness in our practice of law. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with excellent English language skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal strategies clearly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality work product efficiently, including drafting legal documents and pleadings
  • Understanding client needs and creating successful strategies
  • Communicating with clients and the team, and managing files independently
  • Conducting workplace investigations, an asset

Requirements:

  • Lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario
  • ~5 or more years of employment/labour law experience
  • Advocacy skills, written and oral, mainly on wrongful dismissal claims and human rights applications
  • Excellent English language skills, with French language skills an asset
