Senior Associate or Counsel Opportunity

HUM Law is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Counsel to join our team in Toronto.

This role requires a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in employment law, providing expert advice to employers and employees, and handling litigation and strategy development.

We value excellence, quality, and conscientiousness in our practice of law. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, with a strong understanding of complex legal issues and excellent advocacy skills.

The successful candidate will have:

  • ~5 or more years of employment/labour law experience
  • ~Advocacy skills, both written and oral, mainly on wrongful dismissal claims and human rights applications
  • ~Excellent English language skills, with French language skills or additional languages an asset

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality work product efficiently, including drafting legal documents
  • Understanding client needs and creating successful strategies
  • Communicating legal strategies and litigation updates clearly and concisely
  • Proactively managing files independently, with minimal support
