Chad Management Group is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our Leadership and Health and Safety team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall compliance and safety of our company.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety management system to identify and mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement problem-solving strategies and provide coaching and training to employees.
- Utilize incident and root cause analysis to provide direction and recommendations on how to mitigate/control losses and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Represent the company to external auditors and enforcement authorities.
- Develop and maintain communications with WSIB, including timely reporting of injuries and disability management support.
- Ensure all H&S policies, procedures, and practices meet or exceed legal, company, and customer requirements.
- Strong background and understanding of Health and Safety management system designs and processes.
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience with coordinating and managing a safety program for a medium to large manufacturing employer.
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams and to lead projects.
