Job Title: General Manager, Corporate Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager, Corporate Services to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our Corporate Services area, ensuring the effective delivery of internal services and support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Corporate Services area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of internal services.
  • Lead and manage a team of directors and managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure high levels of performance and achievement.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Provide advice and support to senior leadership and Council on corporate matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including Council, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends, ensuring our organization remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate services management and administration, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience working with elected officials and a large, diverse workforce in unionized and non-unionized environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transformational change and utilizing a systems thinking approach to improve effectiveness.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and delegation skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
