About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team at the Safety Codes Council. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing business needs and developing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop creative solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Support the IT team in ensuring overall business needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain clear, concise, and impactful business and technical documentation.
  • Support testing processes to address issues and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience as a Business Analyst, application support, or similar role.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as ECBA, CBAP, CCBA, ITIL, and PMP.
  • High level of proficiency with IT applications.
  • Understanding of business analysis tools and techniques, along with software applications such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Understanding of business principles and processes, with quick grasp of business concepts.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with different internal clients and project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Skills in building consensus among groups, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Capability of adjusting to changing priorities and project dynamics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen attention to detail, initiative, and a dedication to productivity and teamwork.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
