About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team at the Safety Codes Council. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing business needs and developing digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all departments to identify business needs and provide creative solutions.
  • Dive into existing business processes, models, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with teams to transform business requirements into technical specifications and craft solutions that ensure business goals and technical solutions are always in sync.
  • Be a key player in supporting the IT team by ensuring overall business needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain clear, concise, and impactful business and technical documentation that drives understanding and action.
  • Support testing processes to address issues and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Understand the services and functions provided by software platforms.
  • Partner with external vendors to manage Council systems and ensure smooth system implementation projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience as a Business Analyst, application support or similar role.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall, which is an asset.
  • Understanding of business analysis tools and techniques, along with software applications such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, to streamline processes.
  • Understanding of business principles and processes, with quick grasp of business concepts.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with different internal clients and project teams.
  • Skills in building consensus among groups, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Capability of adjusting to changing priorities and project dynamics in a fast-paced environment and to thrive under pressure.
