Position: Business Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: Months contract + possible extension

Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • Hold a degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and possess a minimum of years of experience in business analysis.
  • Alternatively, hold a diploma in a related field and have years of experience in business analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business analysis on technical products, with a preference for products related to incident management technology.
  • Develop and implement business analysis activities for process changes and service improvements, including creating training, educational, and marketing materials.
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to understand and communicate user needs.
  • Work in an Agile software development environment, contributing to the creation and improvement of digital products and services.
  • Apply UX Design methods and tools, including journey maps, service blueprints, and personas.
  • Develop knowledge of application design and development lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Possess strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with ticket/incident management technology, preferably Jira Service Management, JIRA, Confluence.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Identify, define, model, and document business needs, including:
    • Modeling and documenting technical solutions.
    • Developing and presenting business cases, including feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analysis.
    • Defining and documenting product and funding for development and ongoing support.
    • Developing presentations, reports, and submissions required by clients to secure approval and funding.
    • Developing work plans.
  • Interact professionally and productively with diverse individuals to develop and implement:
    • Automated business processes.
    • Service agreements with service consumers and suppliers.
    • Appropriate service management processes.
    • Training/educational materials.
    • Application maintenance support.
  • Ensure the quality of delivered business solutions meets expectations by:
    • Ensuring structure, design, and development comply with applicable standards.
    • Monitoring and controlling project progress, resource usage, and cost.
    • Ensuring performance of technical reviews and audits and obtaining required approvals before implementation.
