Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced corporate communications leader to join our team as Director, Strategic Communications. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio including client communications, employee and internal corporate communications, events, studio, brand development and design, and digital strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic communications, including employee engagement and corporate branding. Experience in an institutional investment management and/or investment consulting organization is an asset.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a unique communications position, play a highly visible role working across multiple departments, and work for a growing and leading global investment manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of communications initiatives, including client communications, employee and internal corporate communications, events, studio, brand development and design, and digital strategy.
  • Refine the team's engagement strategy and processes to ensure continuing success.
  • Continued evolution of the client portal and client engagement strategy.
  • Rebuilding the internal intranet and supporting ongoing change management initiatives.
  • Better leveraging the various platforms and tools to promote the corporate brand and engage with stakeholders.
  • Providing strong leadership to reduce silos, improve collaboration, and streamline processes.
Requirements
  • Corporate communications leader with experience in strategic communications, including employee engagement and corporate branding.
  • Experience in an institutional investment management and/or investment consulting organization is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a talented team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is ~ CAD $144,000-$170,000 plus bonus and benefits. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including experience and expertise.
