As a vital member of the interprofessional team at Northern Health Authority, the Healthcare Support Specialist plays an essential role in assisting primary care providers and the Interprofessional Team (IPT) in delivering safe and effective Primary Care Services.

The Healthcare Support Specialist offers both operational and administrative assistance in a clinical or community environment, adhering to Northern Health Authority policies.

New Wage: $27.22/hour

Facility Overview: This facility is equipped with 46 hospital beds and 115 residential care beds, featuring advanced operating rooms, outpatient clinics, emergency services, ICU, and a birthing center.

Community Overview: The surrounding area serves a diverse population and combines small-town charm with urban amenities and a vibrant arts scene.

Qualifications Required
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Graduation from an Office Assistant Course with two years of relevant experience
  • Or equivalent education, training, and experience
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication capabilities
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM
  • Proficiency in various computer applications
  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology
  • Physical capability to perform job responsibilities
