About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Cozy Manor. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Monitor Patient Health: Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, to monitor their health and well-being.
  • Support with Daily Tasks: Assist patients with meal preparation, serving, and feeding, as well as maintaining their living space.
  • Administer Medications: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring patients receive the necessary care.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Possession of a First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Work Environment

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Cozy Manor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and be required to perform repetitive tasks. You must be physically demanding and able to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
