Job Description

Job Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our business-critical application, the Retail Risk Application Platform (RRAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the Month-end and Quarter-end production run for the RRAP application, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  2. Collaborate with operational support, application teams, and business stakeholders to maintain the platform's resilience and efficiency, and meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  3. Triage issues throughout their lifecycle, from root cause analysis to problem resolution, working closely with various stakeholders.
  4. Provide input and analysis details in incident management meetings to ensure user community requirements are communicated and effectively resolved.
  5. Participate in the application's monthly change/release deployment process and contribute to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
  6. Collaborate with business, developers, and other Business Analysts on monthly enhancements to improve the application's stability and performance, identifying key process flows and recommending enhancements.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 4-5+ years of recent experience as a Technical Business Analyst or DevOps support capacity.
  2. 4-5+ years of recent hands-on experience writing, reading, and constructing advanced SQL queries independently.
  3. Advanced experience in data analytics using SQL to triage complex issues from root cause to resolution in a timely manner.
  4. Experience with project-related tools, processes, and the SDLC lifecycle.
  5. Solid communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. Retail product experience and associated risk models, such as PD, EAD, and LGD models for Mortgage and Credit Card.
  2. Working knowledge of SAS, Informatica, DataStage, or Python.
  3. Database Systems: Hive/Hadoop, DB2.

Soft Skills:

  1. Exceptional data analysis skills and ability to follow data flows/processes to triage complex issues from root cause to resolution in a timely manner.
  2. Solid communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  3. Resourceful and proactive attitude with aptitude towards self-learning to navigate the complexities of the application.
  4. Highly accountable and able to self-manage work priorities with minimal oversight, meeting required deliverables within agreed timelines.
  5. Ability to work effectively as a team member in cross-functional project teams.
  6. Passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in providing high-quality results.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
