Senior Mechanical Engineer for Test Facilities

StandardAero is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to become a vital part of their Test Facility Engineering Team. This position focuses on the design, production, evaluation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of mechanical systems utilized for testing gas turbine engines and associated test facilities. The team plays a crucial role in managing 51 Engine Test Facilities worldwide, integrating new testing platforms, and ensuring the operational efficiency of existing facilities. Team members may have opportunities for global travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, design, engineering, procurement, scheduling, construction, and troubleshooting of significant projects.
  • Develop both conceptual and detailed designs for engineering initiatives.
  • Manage projects adhering to timelines and established project management methodologies.
  • Provide technical and financial insights for project justifications.
  • Review contracts and address issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and engineering standards.
  • Engage with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Contribute to projects as either a team member or a project leader.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, compressed air, and fuel systems.
  • Strong capabilities in project management.
