Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Test Facility Engineering Team at StandardAero. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems for testing gas turbine engines and test facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and engineer mechanical systems for test facilities and gas turbine engines.
  • Manage projects from conceptual design to commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external consulting resources to ensure project success.
  • Prepare technical and financial data for project justification and cost benefit analysis.
  • Review and evaluate contracts for work to be performed by consultants and outside contractors.
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure quality and engineering standards are met.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction with progress and quality.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with mechanical designs and related instrumentation.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, compressed air, and fuel systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with project management in a manufacturing environment.
