We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Client Services for Mental Health. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing our mental health programs, ensuring they align with our organization's mission and goals. This includes strategic planning, program development, implementation, and evaluation. The Director will also be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders, government agencies, and other organizations to enhance program effectiveness and leverage resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to program staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Identify community needs and design programs to address those needs, including conducting research, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing innovative program models.
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing, ensuring programs are properly staffed and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, involving setting program objectives, defining strategies to achieve those objectives, and monitoring progress toward goals.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders, government agencies, and other organizations to enhance program effectiveness and leverage resources.
  • Develop and implement systems to monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact, including collecting and analyzing data, conducting program evaluations, and using feedback to improve program quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure programs operate in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and funding requirements, preparing and submitting reports to funders and government agencies.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, conferences, and events, advocating for the needs of the population served by the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills to oversee and manage a team of professionals.
  • A solid understanding of social service programs, policies, and regulations.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, public administration, or a related discipline, including membership in good standing in a relevant professional association.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible managerial roles in service development and delivery.
  • The ability to develop and implement client-centred strategies and services, prioritizing clients' needs and well-being.
  • Excellent communication skills to build effective collaboration with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to develop and implement strategic plans, set goals, and make informed decisions, including strong analytical skills to assess client needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
  • A solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation, developing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and seeking funding opportunities to support client services.
  • Skills to advocate for clients and the organization's mission in various settings, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including community organizations and funders.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of diversity, inclusivity, and equity issues, respecting and valuing different cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and identities to ensure equitable access to services for all clients.
  • The ability to develop and implement program evaluation processes, collect and analyze data, and make evidence-based improvements, striving for continuous quality improvement to ensure services meet established standards and regulations.
