Construction Painter

We are seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join our team at Terry Pro Painters Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and advising consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
Key Responsibilities:- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Colour Consultation: Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, taking into account their personal preferences and design goals.
- Equipment Operation: Operate scaffolding, swing stages, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work accordingly.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, in outdoors environments, and with odours.
- Equipment and Machinery: Experience with brush painting, roller painting, drywall taping/patching, sandblasters, sign painting, multi-color finishes, paint spraying, and staining.
- Transportation and Travel: Own transportation and willing to travel.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player.
