About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Electronic Trading Technology Team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and support of our e-trading suite of applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our global clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and support of our e-trading applications, working closely with our trading and sales teams to understand their requirements.
  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure software solutions using Java and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with our global counterparts to shape the strategic direction of our e-trading platform and ensure consistency across regions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer delivering front-office pricing, trading, and risk solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, including JDK 8+.
  • Experience with enterprise-level middleware, such as Solace, Tib RV/Faster Than Light, Aeron, Redis, and Hazelcast.
  • Superior analysis and debugging skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced production trading environment.
  • Experience with automated unit and regression testing, as well as CI/CD development pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of interest rate swap products, including FRA, IRS, and XCCY.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Bloomberg APIs, including BPIPE, SAPI, and DAPI.
  • Knowledge of the FIX protocol for market data and order lifecycle.
  • Experience with KDB/Q and ION.
